Seeing the Unseen: A film about women on the autism spectrum
As the Interdisciplinary Studies Librarian, I am responsible for supporting faculty and students doing work in the area of disability studies. I am looking forward to attending the following film screening, an event that is open to all. A related workshop is being held on November 14 with autism self-advocate Guðlaug Svala Steinunnar
Kristjánsdóttir.

Seeing the Unseen is an Icelandic film about women on the autism spectrum (ASD).
This film follows several women who have faced a lifetime of stigma around their neurological differences but who now find support with others who have similar experiences. A panel including autism self-advocates will follow the screening.
